Who is AMS?
Affordable Mobile Sound is a Santa Clara based company that represents several experienced and professional DJ’s throughout the Bay Area.

Is AMS a local company?
Yes, we are a local company working with local disc jockeys that have experience at many Bay Area reception sites and facilities.

How will I know who my DJ will be?
We select a performer for your wedding based on date availability and any event-specific information you provide. Then, you will have the opportunity to speak with them on the phone or meet with them in person to approve of our selection before you secure the date with a deposit.

When will my Disc Jockey arrive at my event and are there any setup or breakdown fees?
Your DJ will arrive 1 hour prior to the start time of your event. This allows sufficient time to unload, setup and sound check his equipment. There is no charge for setup or breakdown.

What types of music will my Disc Jockey play?
Our Disc Jockey’s have an extensive selection of music consisting of Club Dance, Classic Rock, Country/Western, Oldies, Big Band, Motown, R & B, Rap, Disco, Hip-Hop, and much more. We screen our music, so music with questionable content will not be played. We have everything from the 1940’s to today’s top 40, so there is something for all age groups. You select the music and we’ll play it for you.

Will my Disc Jockey play requests?
Absolutely, highlight or check the songs from our list you would like to hear and indicate the songs you do not want to hear. If you don’t see a particular song on our list, please write it down. Your DJ will take your requests and work them in with songs he feels will properly motivate your guests. On the day of your event, he will be happy to take requests from your guests also.

What will the DJ Wear?
We typically wear tuxedos, suits, or business casual attire depending on the event. Whatever your occasion, we'll make sure to dress appropriately.

How do I reserve a DJ?
We require a $100 deposit and a signed contract to reserve a DJ for your event date.  Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise noted.

Can you help with my Wedding Ceremony located in a different location?
Yes, we can help with a Ceremony located in a different location. It is preferred to bring a 2nd system for Ceremonies more than 100 feet from the primary DJ system. The upgrade for a 2nd system is only $100. For Ceremonies at a separate location, the upgrade fee would be $200 for the equipment and travel.

My event will not be in Santa Clara County, what are your travel fees?
Our minimum travel fee is $100 for any events outside of Santa Clara County. Please contact us for more information about your event.

How do I make a depost/payment?
You can visit the payments page of our website and pay online (we accept all major credit cards). Or you can mail in a payment (check, money order or cash) to our address which is also listed on our payments page.
